Clients Valerie and Jason purchased this El Cerrito 'fixer upper' in mid-2014. Moving in, they knew they has a lot of work ahead. Phase 1 included remodeling the kitchen and bathroom into something more modern and functional, upgrading all of the electrical and plumbing and moving a few key walls/ doorways to create a far more open and functional living space.  

A year later, Valerie and Jason were planning for the arrival of their daughter and realized they needed more space. Phase 2 of this home included the remodeling of their basement into a third bedroom/accessory unit with full bathroom and kitchenette for family and other visitors.
